There’s More to Rust

This is an ode to decay. Because sometimes, when you look at the ugly things in life, you find there’s beauty hidden inside them. That’s how rust turns into art. See it as a metaphor for inspiration in life, or don’t. It’ll still look good on that empty wall of yours.

This is me, Daan van Hoof

This journey started a while ago, when stress at work had me lying awake for nights on end. When a friend pointed out that “thought games” can help you fall asleep, I gave myself an assignment:

And behold, it worked. My nights became less worrisome and more mindful.

But why art? Growing up in a creative environment among artists and musicians, art was never far away. Back then, it was a way to kill time. Nowadays, it teaches me to make decisions, to take the leap. Because you can’t finish without starting.
